An academy built by practitioners
Business Excellence Academy exists to close the distance between what leaders are taught and what they are held accountable for. We teach working executives, in small cohorts, using the problems they brought with them.
Vision
To be the leading center of excellence for financial education and professional development in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa by 2032 through digitalization.
Mission
To provide world-class, market-driven training and academic programs that empower individuals with the expertise, ethics, and innovation required to lead the evolving financial sector.
Motto
“Empowering Minds, Radically Transforming the Finance Sector.”
Our mandate
Founded to serve managers moving into enterprise-level responsibility, the Academy delivers certification and executive tracks across strategy, operations, finance, governance and organisational practice.
Teaching is delivered by senior practitioners and supported by coached practice inside the participant's own organisation, so that programme work produces change rather than notes.
Our awards are reviewed against international quality management principles and, through our alliance partners, several carry credit recognition toward further study.
Practice before theory
Every faculty member has carried operational accountability. Cases come from work they have led, not from a textbook.
Small cohorts
Cohorts are capped so that every participant defends their own work in front of peers and faculty.
Evidence over fashion
We teach methods with a track record. Trends are examined critically rather than adopted wholesale.
Faculty leadership

Twenty years in industrial operations, formerly group operations director for a multinational manufacturer.
Prof. Amare Bekele
